TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) –
The warm weather is bringing some unwanted guests to homes across southern Arizona.
Scorpions are crawling inside homes and in garages looking for a cool place to hang out. According to the Arizona Poison and Drug Information Center, when it is hot outside, scorpions are looking for a place to ‘chill’.
The folks at the poison center have already been receiving calls about scorpions. Just take a look at the numbers for February over the last few years:
- February 2016 – 70 calls
- February 2015 – 66 calls
- February 2014 – 95 calls
