If you recall we put out a newsletter in December regarding Bed Bugs and to be aware if your home is infested with them. They are very hard to get rid of and can really only be done by a professional exterminator. Since Bed Bugs live within your furniture and can live in the walls and ceiling of your home it takes a while to rid them. Recently reports have been pouring in regarding the increasing number of Bed Bugs bites across the US. There have been reports from couples who move into new apartments to people staying in very nice and expensive hotels in New York. The conditions for Bed Bugs to thrive doesn’t matter. Bed Bugs are mostly transported through second hand furniture or transported in luggage when people travel. Since Bed Bugs feed on blood, humans are the primary target. On a positive note Bed Bugs don’t carry or transmit diseases. Bed Bugs are very small and flat and oval sized. They have a brown color tint to them and have a sweet somewhat smell to them. To all the people that travel and are looking to move into new apartments, check the furniture and walls first before settling down. For further information please refer to our December Newsletter.
